| Saturday, May 24 | Open Studio at the Dahmen Barn “Open Studio” means that artists come and work in the same area at the same time without an instructor, bringing their own supplies. It is a great way to network with other artists, share ideas, get critiquing if desired, and make some new friends in the art community. Every fourth Saturday of each month beginning February 23, blossoming artists, Sunday painters or experienced artists may come to the Dahmen Barn between 1 and 4 pm to participate. Resident artisan Katherine Clancy is coordinating these happenings, and will be happy to set up still life subject matter if participants wish. This is a drop-in afternoon that is open to those who enjoy painting with any medium or drawing but can’t find the motivation or space to work at home. For participants aged 16 through adult. There is no fee for the Open Studio, which will be on the calendar each fourth Saturday afternoon through 2008. Katherine (Kat) Clancy has dabbled in art for most of her life. She began a serious pursuit in learning watercolor painting in 1992, taking private lessons from Linda Wallace. She is a member of the Palouse Watercolor Socious and the Idaho Watercolor Society.
