- Breaking into categories is difficult because of the combination of acts i.e. theatre and dance
- Change the format of the calendar
- Add submit button to website
Arts Calendar issues
- Collectively say arts alliance could have calendar in paper (currently only print 9 days in advance)
- 2 months advance PR then 2 weeks advance PR
- Thank the person who picks up on PR and keep informing them
- Dates for 08-09

- Eventually we will grow out of website and this is where Uniquely Idaho could take over

- The Daily News does not put events in paper that do not originate locally (ie. No promotion of out of state/international acts)
- We need to use the organization collectively
- Create Subcommittee of Alliance members to work on Press
- Mary DuPree is on DNews advisory board.
- Tip sheet to reporters focus on contact points. Tip sheets for reporters with: contacts, people, outline of events to aid them in getting stories
- For future calendars, performing arts planning calendar
Planning Calendars
- Link on website for 2008-2009 planning calendar
- Suggestion of monthly calendar highlighting one event each month year-round. 12 mo./12 categories. I.e. Jazz month February to promote all jazz events for the years.
- Concern: other events for the month would be pushed aside. I.e. Museum events
